This section of the Great Wall of China is called Mutianyu. After an almost vertical climb of 500 metres of granite steps a refreshing Tsing Tao beer was fantastic.
Thanks and great pic!
Rakia is Bulgaria’s national spirit, tasting somewhere between whisky and a fruity brandy. Here in a secret distillery in a village in the Balkan Mountains, I’m learning how to make my own… over the course of 14 hours we managed to produce 40 litres of apple Rakia, weighing in at roughly 60% alcohol!
The Tipsy Nomads: Darmon from The Bohemian Blog has sent us in this great action shot of alcohol in the making. Very unusual and interesting and I love it. Thanks for taking the time to send it in. If you are looking for a blog that is a bit different, check out Darmon’s site. He went to Australia and spent 5 weeks exploring underground tunnels and drains! Some great pictures there as well.
Cat from www.yeity.com and a couple of her nutter friends in New Zealand will bring in the New Year this Monday by taking a shot for each time zone (that’s nearly 24 hours of drinking! Thank the lord for Muslim countries where tea will serve as a welcomed break!). The drink in the picture above is Tequila.

Great idea Cat! The tipsy nomads support you and your friends in this ambitious and tough challenge. Let us know how it goes and send us some pics.
